Russell Brewer Biography 

You know the old saying, "You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy"?  Well, you might just say that suits me right down to the bone.  I was born and raised in Ontario, spent ten years living on the west coast of British Columbia, and now reside in sunny southern Alberta! 

I'm a country music fan through and through but it's really the 'classic' country style of music that has influenced and inspired me the most... and of course the 'classic' country performers such as Johnny Cash, George Jones, Kris Kristofferson, and even Elvis too.  Speaking of inspiration, I’ve been very fortunate to meet some legendary country music performers (Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Kris Kristoffreson, Dwight Yokam) whose words of encouragement will never fade from my memory or heart. 

 I spend most weekends traveling and performing a mix of classic country tunes along with my own original songs from my debut CD.  My goal for this year is to put more emphasis on my own music and to continue to meet many country music fans here in Alberta and beyond.
